GIGO

I recently applied for 6 positions. After months of no response, I called chambers.
All but one of the positions had been filled, yet OSCAR still shows them as "AVAILABLE".
I can't help wonder if the jobs were filled before I applied?
The fact that the status of positions is not kept up to date is shameful..what an awful waste of time, money and hopes for the future.
I suggest the site is regularly updated and that those responsible for this inefficient and inconsiderate process treat others as they would like to be treated themselves.

I completely agree with you these type of sites should be update on daily basis.
Outdated positions
The positions listed in OSCAR are listed by each individual chambers. We have no way of knowing when a position is filled. It is up to each judge to update their position listing. We recognize that some judges may neglect to update their positions in a timely manor and we do send out periodic reminders. We also implemented a new feature last year in an effort to reduce the number of old outdated postings. When a judge posts a position it will close automatically after six months unless the judge elects to hold the position open longer.
